Two events will occur during the 2008 Homecoming scheduled November 7-9, 2008 benefiting the alumni house.

Opel Thorpe Estate Jewelry Auction- Opel Thorpe (1931 graduate) left her estate jewelry to the USAO Alumni Association with proceeds of the sale to benefit the alumni house. A silent auction will occur at Homecoming (minimum bid is the established retail value) for the fine jewelry shown in the picture gallery below.

Housewarming Shower- Help the Stevens Alumni House Committee provide essentials and decorative items for the Alumni House. The committee will be registering for items with nationwide department stores. The shower gifts will be displayed at the Stevens Alumni House Open House on Saturday, November 8, 2008. Check this website for gift registry information by fall 2008.

If you wish to donate directly to the project, please click on the link below for the brochure. Currently, there are three fundraising challenges from alumni for specific rooms in the alumni house:

Shackleford Room- OCW students who took biology classes remember Dr. Shackleford as a caring and inspirational instructor. Donating funds to her room is a fitting memorial to a wonderful teacher!

To be funded:
Fine Arts Suite- Honor your favorite Fine Arts Faculty by donating funds in their honor, a plaque will list the names of teachers (such as Derald Swineford and Virginia Anderson) you remember.

Sixties Room- Calling all 1960's graduates! All classes from the 1960s are working together to donate funds for this room which honors your time at the college!
