The Nesbitt Gallery will celebrate 24 Works on Paper, a unique art show, featuring works created on paper by Oklahoma artists with a reception scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Sept. 6.
The reception is free and open to the public.
The show is co-sponsored by the Individual Arts of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition.
The show is programmed to run in the Nesbitt Gallery through Oct. 27. The gallery is located in Davis Hall.
The show has been traveling to galleries around the state since July 2013, including stops at the Goddard Center in Ardmore and the Gardiner Gallery at Oklahoma State University.
Though paper is the connecting fiber tying all of the works in the show together, the range of approaches should surprise viewers including photography, crayon, charcoal, watercolor, screen prints and mixed-media incorporating embroidery and collage among others.
24 Works on Paper is a biennial exhibit begun in 1985. This is the first time that the exhibit has shown in the Nesbitt Gallery.
