All of the full-time music faculty members at USAO have the terminal degree in their field.  In addition to four full-time faculty members USAO has adjunct instructors in guitar, accompanying, brass and woodwinds.

Dr. Dan Hanson, Professor of Music, D.M.A. from the University of North Texas. Director of Instrumental Studies: Music Theory, Instrumental Music Methods, Percussion, USAO Key Players, Concert Band, Composition, Survey of American Popular Music.

Dr. Ken Bohannon, Associate Professor of Music, D.M. from Indiana University.  Director of Vocal Studies: Applied Voice, Opera Scenes, Vocal Pedagogy and Diction, Music Business, Class Voice, USAO Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Rhetoric, Director of the Davis-Waldorf Performing Arts Series.
