Slow Start for Men, Winning Streak Ends

BETHANY – After an emotional upset of No. 7 Oklahoma City Saturday night on the road, not much went right for the Drovers Monday in a 98-70 road loss to No. 17 Southern Nazarene.

Dexter Williams scored a career-high 19 points, but USAO started the game cold hitting only 27 percent from the floor and falling behind 23-5 through the first 10 minutes. The 18-point SNU lead grew to 24 by halftime, 50-26.

Despite a 44-point second half, the Drovers suffered their first loss in five games falling to 12-10 overall and 8-8 in the league. USAO dropped to sixth place in the league with a trip to fifth place Rogers State Thursday beginning at 6 p.m.
