Drovers Remain Perfect

SHAWNEE – Senior forward Tommy Hubbard scored three goals in five minutes to lead a USAO rally past St. Gregory’s Thursday afternoon in the Drovers’ Sooner Athletic Conference opener. Hubbard’s first career hat trick gave No. 15 USAO the 3-1 win on the road and kept the team undefeated at 5-0-0, 1-0-0.

SGU’s Diego Molero broke a scoreless tie in the second half with his goal from Carlos Quinteros. Molero’s goal in the 55th minute was only the second time this season the University of Science and Arts have found itself behind on the scoreboard.

Hubbard and USAO answered in the 70th minute, the 73rd minute and the 75th minute on two assists from Wesley Costa and one from Adam Day.

The Drovers are on the road again Saturday at John Brown. The doubleheader begins at 1 p.m.
