Drovers Suffer First Loss

CHICKASHA – It took almost two months, but the University of Science and Arts finally suffered its first loss of the season at home Friday afternoon. The 2-0 decision to No. 18 Southern Nazarene drops the seventh-ranked Drovers to 7-1-2 overall and 2-1-2 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

SNU’s Damian Gunaratne scored the go-ahead goal in the 47th minute on a penalty kick, and Thierry Gakire scored the insurance in the 83rd minute.

USAO is back in action Tuesday at Oklahoma Baptist beginning at 3 p.m.
