No. 25 USAO Routes BethanyLINDSBURG, Kan. – The tremors could have been felt back in Chickasha late Tuesday afternoon as the Drovers’ offensive explosion reached a near seismic level in a 13-0 win at Bethany College. The University of Science and Arts improved to 3-0 on the season hammering out a school record 25 shots on goal. Five players posted multi-goal performances led again by Rafael da Silva, who scored three goals turning in his second hat trick in as many games. Wesley Costa, Nene Coulibally, Terry Adamson and Pinny Nijjar scored two goals each. Tommy Hubbard and Danny Rodriguez netted goals as well. In the assist category, John Gardner, Costa, da Silva and Rodriguez had two each. Keith Ooten, Coulibally, Adamson and Nijjar finished with one assist each. The team’s 12 assists is also a new school record beating the previous 11 assists against Southwestern College in 2002. Goalkeeper Shane Flanagan posted his third straight shutout. The team has now given up only one goal in its previous seven games dating back to last season. The 25th-ranked Drovers will be back at home for games Friday against McPherson College at 3 p.m. and Saturday against Bethel College at 4 p.m. ### |
