CHICKASHA – The Drovers furious rally came to an exciting end six minutes into overtime as freshman Duson Rasovic knocked in the game-winning goal from 30 yards to give the University of Science and Arts a 2-1 win over No. 23 Bethel College, Tenn.
Rasovic’s game-winner would have never happened, though, without a late goal by senior defenseman Jon Oman. Oman’s header off a corner kick by Nikola Cakarevic in the 84th minute tied the game at 1-1 and ended a 174-minute scoreless streak for the Drovers. USAO lost 1-0 Tuesday at Oklahoma Christian.
After a scoreless first half, Bethel got on the board first with a goal from Javier Figueroa off a rebound. The Drovers had some difficulty trying to tie the score against a strong south wind, but Oman scored his second goal of the year and the sixth of his career on USAO’s second corner kick of the second half.
