ASH, Jessie Kelly Ash

        Services for Jessie Kelly Ash, 98, Alto, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home chapel, Alto, with the Rev. Ken Wooley officiating. Burial will be in Old Palestine Cemetery.
        Mrs. Ash died March 31, 2007, in Nacogdoches. She was born May 23, 1908, in Elida, N.M., to the late Jesse P. and Lena Walters Kelly. She attended Oklahoma College for Women, East Central State Teachers College in Oklahoma and Stephen F. Austin State College in Nacogdoches. She taught school for 30 years, and was a member of Old Palestine Baptist Church.
        She lived most of her life in Alto, and was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Milburn Ash. Survivors include five nieces and one nephew. Pallbearers include Dick Low and Charles Jeter. Honorary pallbearer is Doyle Click. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
