
COLLIER, Virginia L.
FLETCHER -- Funeral for Virginia Lee Collier, 96, Fletcher, Okla., will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2005, at Fletcher United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Mahaffey, pastor, officiating and Kim and Jim Collier with family testimony.
Miss Collier died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at an Oklahoma City care center.
Burial will be at Fletcher Cemetery under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher.
She was born Sept. 19, 1908, in Fletcher, to James A. Collier Sr. and Flora Swearingen Collier. She lived most of her life in Fletcher and graduated from Fletcher and from Oklahoma College for Women of Chickasha. She later received her master's degree from Oregon State University. She taught home economics at Fletcher Public Schools.
Survivors include a brother, Edward Nelson Collier, Oklahoma City; 10 nieces and nephews; and 22 great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Frances Lucille Collier and Emma Elizabeth Collier; and two brothers: James Albert Collier Jr. and Robert Allen Collier.
