COLE, Beverly June

        Beverly June Cole, 82, of Richmond, Va., passed away Friday, September 3, 2004. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard Cole, and a stepson, Delgene Phillips.
        Mrs. Cole graduated from the Oklahoma College for Women, Chickasha, Okla. She and her husband traveled extensively during his employment, where at each stop she would become very active in various civic and community affairs. She was a former executive secretary for the Red Cross in Washington State, and after locating to Richmond in 1967, she became especially active in the New Comers Club and the Roslyn Hills Garden Club. A memorial service will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday at Seventh Street Christian Church where the family will receive friends following the service in the church's Hanover Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to the American Red Cross, 420 E. Cary St. or the SPCA, 5219 Hermitage Rd. Arrangements by the Woody Funeral Homes.
