
DENNEY, Mabel E. Denney
Funeral for Mabel Emily Denney, 99, Cache,
will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Cache Church of Christ with Jack Triffenger
officiating Mrs. Denney died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, in Cache. Burial will be at
Cache Cemetery under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.
She was
born Aug. 4, 1907, in Indiahoma to Virginia Ann and John Thomas Roach. She grew
up in the Indiahoma and Cache areas. She graduated from Indiahoma High School.
After graduation, she attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, where
she received a bachelor's in education. She married Jasper Mack Denny on Dec.
27, 1939, in Cache. She taught school in Geronimo, Cache, Spring Valley,
Medicine Park, Stecker, Burkburnett, Texas; and Seymour, Texas; before moving to
Cache. She was a life long member of Cache Church of Christ.
Survivors include a
son, Wayland Denney, Cache; a stepson, Jasper Mack Denney Jr., Yuma, Ariz.; a
stepdaughter, Mildred Suva, Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren: Quinton Denney,
Cache; and Gayle Fox, Dublin, Calif.; four great-grandchildren: Quinton Denney
Jr., Soen Lyle Mack, Devin Renee A. Fox and D.J. Fox; a brother, Frank Roach,
Umatilla, Fla.; a special niece, Geneva Simmons, Cache;and other relatives and
friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers: Dalph
Roach, Cecil Roach, Guy Roach and Ruth Roach; and two sisters: Myrtle Webb and
Mildred Killian.
