ELWOOD, Charles E.

        Charles E. Elwood of Woodward, Okla., died Thursday, March 31, 2005. Services for Charles Eugene Elwood, 66, of Woodward, Okla., will be 11 a.m. Monday at Fifth Street Church of Christ in Woodward. Ray Don Jackson and James Rucker will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are by Billings Funeral Home, Woodward.  
        He was born June 17, 1938, in Mooreland to Melvin Kirby and Lillie Letita Jordan Elwood and died Thursday, March 31, 2005, at his home.  He attended school at Curtis and Mooreland and graduated from Mooreland High School in 1957.  He married Kay Sidders May 29, 1964. They lived in Woodward until 1966.  In 1968, he graduated from Sunset School of Preaching in Lubbock, Texas. He preached in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. In 1970, he and his wife moved to Chickasha, where he graduated from the University of Science and Arts in 1981.
        Later, he and his wife moved back to Woodward.  He was a member of the Fifth Street Church of Christ.  Surviving are his wife, Kay of the home; two sons, John Elwood of Miami and Lance Elwood of Woodward; two daughters, Sharla Elwood of Malden, Mass., and Shela Kosekelin of Malakoff, Texas; a sister, Anita Drawbridge of Mooreland; and four grandchildren.
