Sept. 30, 1932 - May 16, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Laura Davis Brown, 81, of Oklahoma City, died peacefully at home on May 16, 2014. Born September 30, 1932 to Alta and Richard Davis of Rush Springs, Oklahoma, Laura graduated from Oklahoma College for Women with a degree in Business and went on to work as a secretary to the Governor of Oklahoma. Married to Alton Brown in 1957, Laura moved to Colorado where she completed her MA in Psychotherapy and established a practice in Denver. She was a Chaplain in various Denver area hospitals and became deeply involved with the Rocky Mountain Stroke Association. Laura was a longtime member of St. Luke's Methodist Church and a PEO. Laura was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Alton L. Brown. She is survived by brother Richard Davis, children Elizabeth Davis, Piper Anne Sterling-Rahi and step-children Kevin Brown and Melissa McAfee. Laura had 15 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday May 27, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Luke's Methodist Church located at 222 NW 15th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73103.
