Lysne, Billye Robinson. Mrs. Billye Robinson Lysne, 86, of Tucker, GA, passed away on 21 February, 2008. She was born in Snyder, OK. Her parents Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Robinson came to Oklahoma from Tennessee in a covered wagon and were married in Indian Territory. Mrs. Lysne graduated from Hobart OK High School in 1939 and received her Bachelors degree from Oklahoma College for Women in 1941. During WWII she worked in Borden General Hospital. When it closed in 1946 she worked for the Civil Aeronautics Administration in Flight Safety.
Billy Wayne Freeman Services for Billy Wayne Freeman were held July 19 and July 20 at Amis-Kennard Funeral Home and at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens Chapel at Claremore. Freeman, 69, died July 16, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Reba Freeman and two grandsons. He was born Feb. 16, 1938, at Paris, Ark. He was a 1956 graduate of Muskogee High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Freeman married Wynema Thomas of Stillwell.
BILLIE FAY LAWRENCE GOE The funeral for Billie Fay Lawrence Goe, 80, of Tonkawa, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Tonkawa Bible Church. Weather permitting, burial will be 4 p.m. in Hayward Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson Funeral Home of Tonkawa. She was born Nov. 19, 1926, in Shawnee to Clara and Foy Lawrence and died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, in Ponca City Medical Center.
Shaw, Betty (Bill) Betty (Mrs. Bill) Shaw, of Oklahoma City, passed away December 7, 2007. She was born in Amarillo, Texas and graduated from Los Alamos High School in San Antonio, Texas. She later moved to Oklahoma and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the Oklahoma College for Women in 1942. Betty was employed by Mobile Oil Company in the years following her college graduation. She met and, in 1948, married William T. 'Bill' Shaw, who survives her. Betty is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whose lives were brightened by her warm and generous spirit.
Betty June Fulton, 78, devoted wife, loving mother, and faithful friend, went home to be with her Savior on May 24, 2009. She will be remembered always as a sweet, giving, selfless and talented woman. Betty was born in Cyril, Oklahoma, on May 28, 1930, graduated from Chickasha High and received a degree in Home Economics from Oklahoma College for Women. She is survived by her husband, Robert Fulton, Jr., with whom she spent 58 wonderful years. Together they experienced triumph, endured tragedy, and traveled the world.
Betty Jo Ambrister, 89, of Norman, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010, in Norman. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00A.M., on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Wade officiating. Betty Jo (Granny) was born on March 12, 1920 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Harry -- Ethel Westbrook. She was raised in Claremore, Oklahoma and attended the Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha. Betty met her husband John Jelks Ambrister in Claremore while he was teaching aviation. They were married on October 16, 1941.
Betty Frensley, 88, of Wichita, Kansas, died January 4, 2009. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and survived by her son, Dr. William R. and daughter-in-law Susan of Richardson, Texas; grandsons John and Paul; sister, Bessie Sue Manz of Richmond, Virginia; and seven nieces and nephews. Betty was born December 12, 1920 in Walters, Oklahoma, though the family soon moved to nearby Duncan. Her parents were Herbert J. and Susan Brown. Her elder sister, Emma Winifred died in 1932.
Betty Clark, longtime resident of Norman and trusted confidant to many of all ages and distinction, died on 6 December 2008, just a few weeks after family and friends staged a gala 90th birthday celebration in her honor. Betty Earle Cavender was born on 1 September 1918 in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from McAlester (Oklahoma) High School in 1935 and from the Oklahoma College for Women in 1939. She then joined the Works Progress Administration and, despite her extreme youth, quickly advanced to supervisory positions.
Jernigan, Betty Baker Funeral service for Betty Baker Jernigan, age 80, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2007, in the Epworth United Methodist Church in Chickasha, OK. Mrs. Jernigan was born the daughter of John W. Baker and Kathryn Jeffress Baker on January 31, 1926, in Chickasha. She died on January 19, 2007, in Chickasha. She married her husband of 57 years, Ernest D. Jernigan, on June 16, 1946. After their marriage, she lived in various places as she followed her husband's career in the Air Force. She eventually returned to Chickasha in 1974.
Betty Ann Bryan Schwarz, 86, of Marlow, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, in Marlow. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Stephens United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ruth Atterberry officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Betty was born Feb. 19, 1922, in Chickasha, the daughter of Ralph Guyer and Annie Eliza Miles Bryan. She married A.J. Schwarz on Oct. 3, 1942, in Duncan. He preceded her in death Sept.
