Bach to the Future Rocks USAO February 27

These instruments may look like something from a science fiction movie, but they are the tools of the trade for Bach to the Future. As the final installment in this season’s Davis-Waldorf Performing Arts Series, the quirky jazz quartet performs “the Bach that rocks” Feb. 27 at USAO’s Te Ata Memorial Auditorium in Troutt Hall. Using electric violins, synthesizers, Drumitars and Zendrums, Bach to the Future gives Classical music an extreme makeover. A free Master Class demonstration will be held at 1 p.m. in the same auditorium. Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show range from $3-10 and are available through the USAO Box Office by phone at (405) 574-1213 or at the door.
