Anadarko Player Signs with Drovers
CHICKASHA -- Anadarko senior softball player Whitney Bellamy signed this week to play for the nationally ranked University of Science and Arts next season. The infielder/catcher was part of state championship appearances in two different sports and posted a .444 batting average as a senior.
Bellamy helped AHS to a runner-up finish in the 2004 state softball tournament and helped the school capture the 2005 basketball state championship. She earned all-region and all-state honors in both sports.
USAO has qualified for the NAIA National Tournament for the previous three seasons and boosts wins over then-No. 2 and defending national champion University of Mobile earlier this season.
