Resident Assistants on campus at USAO
Hi! My name is Marissa Hoofard, and I am the Sparks Hall Second Floor Girls RA. I am Nineteen years old and
currently a Junior Early Childhood Education Major at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. I
graduated in 2006 from Lexington High. All through High School I was involved in many different organizations
and athletics. I am also very involved here on Campus. I am the Part-Time Health Services Secretary, a
Resident Assistant, a member of SNEA, a Student Orientation Drove Leader, a Supreme Court Justice for Student
Senate, and I am also involved with Invisible Children, and other organizations. When I am not here on campus
I am usually at home with my Dad and little sister. One of the main reasons I decided to become and enjoy
being an RA here at USAO are the relationships and bonds that I have made not only with the residents on my
floor but with those in the entire building. I feel that Sparks Hall is a fun and enjoyable environment that
stimulates friendships and personal growth. I am always here for those that live in Sparks to talk about
anything and everything from what classes to take to the stress of classes and anything and everything
in-between.
Hi my name is Lance Mott and I am a Resident Assistant on the 1st floor of Sparks Hall. I am a senior
Psychology major from Marlow, OK. This is my second year to serve on the ResLife Staff here at USAO.
As an RA, I hope to serve you to the best of my abilities and make your career here as pleasant and
productive as possible.
In addition to my function as an RA, I am also actively involved at the Baptist Student Union and serve as a member of the Leadership Team. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends and just having fun. I also enjoy listening to music, playing guitar, and reading on occasion. I look forward to assisting you with whatever you may need, so please don’t hesitate to ask.
My name is Heather Lindsey! I'm a fifth year senior majoring in Deaf Education with a specialization
in Early Childhood Education. I'm a 2003 graduate of Tuttle High School. I'm a member of the Student
National Education Association, Grady County and Oklahoma Reading Councils, and the American Sign Language
Club. I really like to watch movies, play board games, and shop! My favorite website is icanhascheezburger.
com (check it out!). I'm the first floor girls' RA and I really enjoy getting know the residents as well as
planning fun things to do around the dorms. I don't really know why there's more time for Facebook than for
my textbooks, but I'll figure that out later.
Hello, my name is Paulo Kubis and this is my second year to serve as the RA for the 2nd floor of Sparks Hall.
I am from Brazil and currently a junior Business Administration major. I am a member of the USAO soccer
team, so during soccer season I will be counting on your support. Regardless if it is a sports event,
art, music or fun, we want everybody to participate and enjoy their college experience to the fullest!
I love being an RA, assisting people and making friends. So if you need assistance, make sure to let
me know and I guarantee I will do my best to help you!
My name is Wesley, but pretty much everybody calls me "Xuxu" around here. I am the 3rd floor RA at
Sparks Hall for the second year. I am currently a junior majoring in Physical Education with a minor
in Spanish. I am from Belo Horizonte, Brazil and Portuguese is my first language. I came to USAO in
2005 to get a college education and play soccer. I try to enjoy every second around here to make my
time in college as much fun as possible. I am also a member of the International Student Association,
Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, and just had my name mentioned in the Who’s Who Among Students in
American Universities and Colleges. Being an RA is more than a job to me, it is the opportunity to
make friends, help people and to be part of the University staff.
Hi! My name is Jackie Williams. I am a sophomore Chemistry major here at USAO. I am originally from
Chickasha, and\this will be my first year as an RA, and I am very excited! I love life on campus, and
I hope I can make it that much more enjoyable this year! I'm looking forward to being an RA because
I know that I will have a hand in making campus life fun and exciting, instead of stressful as we
go through our college career.

My name is Zach Bauer. I am a junior from Oologah, Ok. I am a Business Administration major, and if your not
sure about what to major in, Business Admin. is always a safe bet! When I’m not in my dorm room or in the
classroom, or at the fieldhouse shooting hoops with Eli, you will find me at the BSU campus ministry. This
upcoming year I will be serving as the President of the BSU ministry. So not only am I looking forward to
serving you at the front desk of Sparks, but also outside the setting of academia. After graduating I plan
on attending seminary, either in Louisville or Ft. Worth. I’m very much looking forward to serving all of
