The National ACT will be held in Gary Hall.  Entrants will receive a room assignment in Gary Hall on the entrance ticket issued by ACT.   Room changes will be made as needed and given to students upon check in at 8:00 a.m.    Student Registration Packets can be picked up at the Assessment and Resource Center,  or a high school counselor. The ACT residual test is for students that want to attend USAO. The score will not be provided to any other college but will be reported directly to the Registrar at USAO.

The Residual ACT is held in Room 118 of Nash Library.  Parking is available in back of the building.  Enter the library from the side door.  The front door of the library will not be open until later in the morning.   With prior planning and good cause there are specially scheduled Residual ACT exams conducted.

People interested in taking the ACT residual, call Anna Marie at 574-1281 for more information regarding test times and locations. 

Steps to take the ACT Residual:

*      The individual must fill out an application.  An application can be picked up at the Assessment and Resource Center (Student Center Building on the Third Floor) or the Business Office (Troutt Hall office number 220).  OR you may type a copy of the following:

Steps 1 and 2 must be completed no later than 4:30PM on the day before testing.

Must bring Photo ID and Receipt of Payment to the test.  Calculators may be used on the ACT math test.

Preparation material for the ACT national and residual is available in the Assessment and  Resource Center for the student’s needs from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.

CLEP TEST (College-Level Examination Program): The CLEP test is offered on the USAO campus.   It is a Computer Based Test (CBT) at USAO. The examinee will receive scores instantly.  CLEP tests are administered in the Assessment and Resource Center. The test center only administers subject exams to the students, not general exams.

Each test is 90 minutes long.  The cost of a CLEP Test is $65.00 per test.  (This is payable directly to CLEP by check, money order or credit card.  A separate check or money order must be made for each test taken.)   There is an Administrative Charge of $15.00 per test that is paid to the USAO Business office.  For more information about CLEP testing, please contact Anna Marie Pratt at (405) 574-1281.

PPST TEST (Paper-based Pre-Professional Skills Tests):

Prometrics in Oklahoma City can provide the PPST via computer.  It is wise to schedule a test with them early as they stay booked.  You can reach them at 405-843-8378.

TOEFL TEST (Test of English as a Foreign Language): The Assessment and Resource Center has registration packets and study material on CD-ROM. This test can be administered on line on the USAO campus.. www.TOEFL.org

COMPASS TEST  Follow the links to  http://www.testprepreview.com/ or go to the USAO Library Reserves to access COMPASS practice tests or study guide information.  You will need to contact the USAO assessment center at 574-1281 or 574-1361 to obtain the passwords to access the electronic reserves containing the study guides.
