Walker Coat of Arms
|
| Gules (a red field, red meaning warrior, brave and strong but generous and just; the martyr's color), a chevron (an Ordinary, the name derived directly from the fr. chevron, i.e. rafter of a roof), between three crosses (Crosses - Symbolic of some Christian experience or sentiment), croslet (crosses which ends have been crossed), argent (silver or white for peace and serenity), on a chief (the first of the Ordinaries, and occupying about one third of the shield from the top downward), of the last a buck's head (Stag, Hart, Buck and Deer - Policy, Peace and Harmony) cabossed (terms applied to the heads of beasts, when borne full-faced and with no part of the neck being visible, so that it appears like the marks of a head). |
