Drover Madness Scheduled Nov. 1

Once again, it’s time for some fast paced action, high-flying dunks and some of the best small college basketball in the nation. That could only mean one thing – it’s time to tip off the 2004-05 USAO basketball season.

To help create excitement around the community, USAO is once again preparing to bring in the season with “Drover Madness.” This year’s “Drover Madness” is scheduled for Nov. 1 at 6:30 p.m. inside USAO Fieldhouse.

This event, held each year, offers the opportunity to bring Drover fans together for an evening of fun, food and games. Event sponsors are Jake’s Rib, Shirts ‘N Stuff, and the USAO Student Association. KOOL 105.5 FM Sports Director George Plummer is the scheduled master of ceremonies 

The USAO women tip off their 2004-05 campaign Nov. 3 against Langston University. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. inside USAO Fieldhouse. Five nights later, the Drover men open their season at 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at East Central University in Ada.

The Drover women’s only other non-conference home game is 6 p.m. Nov. 11 against Texas Wesleyan University. The men’s two non-conference home games are Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. against Central Oklahoma and Nov. 22 at 7:30 p.m. against Southwestern OSU.
