Nikola Cakarevic
2008: Played in 18 games and started in 2009: Cakarevic played in nearly every game and started in more than half of the Drovers’ games. He posted 11 goals during the season, including two each against Mid-America Christian University and Wayland Baptist University. Also against Wayland Baptist, Cakarevic had two of his six assists. His 11 goals put him second on the team in most goals.
2008: He recorded 15 goals while playing in every game for USAO. He netted a career-high five goals in a 15-0 shutout of Bacone College, establishing himself as the all-time individual game goal leader in USAO’s men’s soccer history. Also against Bacone, Cakarevic had two assists. He assisted a total of six goals during the season. He led the team in goals scored and was second in assists. Additionally, he ranked in the top 15 nationally in shots per game (4.61) and shots on goal per game (2.56). Cakarevic was named All-Conference Second Team.
2007: In his first season at USAO, he played in every game, leading the team in assists with six. He collected two goals in back-to-back conference wins against John Brown University and Oklahoma Baptist University.
High School: Cakarevic came to USAO from II Business School in Serbia.
