USAO Women Tie OCU

OKLAHOMA CITY – The University of Science and Arts snapped a two-game losing streak, but they weren’t very happy with the outcome tying Oklahoma City 0-0 on the road Tuesday night.

The Drovers had lost its two previous Sooner Athletic Conference games at John Brown and to No. 16 Oklahoma Christian. OCU posted 22 total shots on the night, but Chickasha freshman Emily Stephens stopped all seven shots on goal from the Stars’ attackers.

Amanda Caldeira and Alex Cernigliaro posted two shots on goal each for USAO, but OCU’s Alycia Allenby posted a shutout as well stopping all five of the Drovers’ shots on goal.

The tie moves USAO’s record to 5-2-2 overall and 1-2-2 in league play. OCU falls to 5-1-1 overall and 4-0-1 in SAC play.

USAO hosts Southern Nazarene Friday afternoon beginning at 1 p.m. SNU enters the game at 3-5 overall and 1-4 in league play.
