USAO Back in Win Column

CHICKASHA – One goal was all it took for the University of Science and Arts to snap a three-game winless streak. Chickasha freshman Emily Stephens posted her third shutout of the season as USAO beat Southern Nazarene at home on Friday 1-0.

Sophomore forward Amanda Caldeira scored the winning goal on an assist from Audrey Butler at the 16:32 mark. Caldeira’s first game-winning goal of the year was her third on the season. Stephens collected four saves on the day and has 28 on the season.

USAO improved to 6-2-2 overall and 2-2-2 in Sooner Athletic Conference play. The team is on the road at Oklahoma Baptist Tuesday afternoon.
