Soccer Signs Transfers

Kelly Turman and Megan O'BryanCHICKASHA – Three transfers recently signed letters of intent to play for the University of Science and Arts’ women’s soccer team Head Coach Jimmy Hampton announced. The signings bring the team’s total to nine new players.

The signees include Amanda Caldeira, who played last season at Northeastern State in Tahlequah, and Megan O’Bryan and Kelly Turman, who spent the previous two seasons at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa.Amanda Caldeira

Caldeira is originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, while O’Bryan and Turman hail from northeast Oklahoma. O’Bryan played her high school soccer at Daniel Webster High School in Tulsa while Turman played at Broken Arrow High School.

Other USAO signees include Alex Cernigliaro of Edmond North High School, Robyn and Stephanie Harris of Chickasha High School.

The Drover women finished the 2005 season 8-9-2 overall and must replace 30 percent of its scoring lost to graduation including the team’s scoring leader. USAO’s first home game of the season is scheduled for a 1 p.m. Sept. 1 against Northwood, Texas.
