Biography

Dr. Yunjae Hwang is an Associate Professor of Deaf Education at the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma. Prior to coming to USAO, he was colleague of NSF founded Science of Learning Center on Visual Language and Visual Learning. He was also teacher for the Deaf at Atlanta Area School for the Deaf, Arizona State School for the Deaf and Blind, and Sungsim school for the deaf in Korea. He is certified teacher in Oklahoma for Deaf Education K-12.

Dr. Hwang has been collaborating with scholars in Korea for projects, such as developing a Korean Sign Language curriculum for late-deafened learners, plan for educational supporting for Korean Deaf students in school setting and reconsidering Deaf education teacher certificate in Korea. In addition, he is outreach coordinator to prepare the 1st World Deaf Baseball game at Korea.
